DestaqueÉ com grande dor que lembramos o companheiro Afonso Mendes Souto, membro da nossa Comissom Lingüística e do Conselho de Redaçom da Kallaikia, revista de estudos galegos, que onte faleceu de modo inesperado aos 39 anos.
Incorporado à AEG desde o nascimento da nossa entidade, colaborou de diferentes maneiras em vários dos nossos projetos, sendo para ele a língua e a cultura do nosso país umha paixom que o acompanhou durante toda umha vida, breve e intensa, de compromisso social e político com o nosso país, Galiza.
Autor de diferentes trabalhos divulgativos e académicos publicados em vários meios sobre temática especialmente lingüística e cultural, exerceu a docência e cultivou um profundo patriotismo galego que o torna merecente do nosso reconhecimento e homenagem, ainda que tenha que ser postumamente.
É importante que fagamos público reconhecimento das pessoas que entregárom e entregam boa parte das suas vidas ao trabalho coletivo pola Galiza e por tantas outras causas justas, entre as quais a plena recuperaçom da nossa língua e dignidade nacionais.
